AI for All Canada

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is ubiquitous and consequential in everyday life but many Canadians are largely unaware of how it works or its implications.

AI for All Canada is a partnership of CFLA-FCAB, Ryerson University, and Toronto Public Library to develop an instructional program for libraries on AI.

Intellectual Freedom Challenges Survey

As part of our commitment to intellectual freedom, CFLA-FCAB supports the Annual Challenges Survey of materials and services challenged in Canadian libraries. The survey creates a national snapshot of the nature and outcome of challenges to intellectual freedom in publicly-funded Canadian libraries. By documenting and reporting these incidents, Canadian libraries demonstrate their commitment to public accountability and institutional transparency.

Cataloguing and Metadata Standards Committee

The CFLA-FCAB Cataloguing and Metadata Standards Committee advises the Board on developing and promoting its library communities' positions on cataloguing and metadata standards and issues. They oversee the development of appropriate position statements and supporting documentation and strategies.
