Member Update / Mise à jour des membres – CFLA-FCAB Endorsement: Canadian Collective Print Strategy

Board Members of the Canadian Federation of Library Associations unanimously endorsed the work of the Canadian Collective Print Strategy Working Group (CCPSWG) at the January 2021 meeting.  CCPSWG members, Gwen Bird and Alison Bullock presented a summary of the work of the group including recommendations for a national shared print network.  Board Executive member Vivian Lewis, University Librarian at McMaster University, highlighted the importance of this work for research libraries and expressed appreciation on behalf of the Board for the opportunity to champion this important work.  CFLA-FCAB looks forward to continuing to support the initiative and sharing further progress and achievements with the Canadian library community.

Les membres du Conseil d’administration de la Fédération canadienne des associations de bibliothèques ont unanimement endossé le travail de la Canadian Collective Print Strategy Working Group (Groupe de travail canadien sur la stratégie collective des matériaux imprimés) lors de la réunion de janvier 2021. Des membres du Groupe, Gwen Bird et Alison Bullock, ont présenté un résumé du travail du Groupe y compris des recommandations pour un réseau national partagé des matériaux imprimés. Vivian Lewis, membre exécutif du Conseil et bibliothécaire universitaire à l’université McMaster, a souligné l’importance de ce travail pour les bibliothèques de recherche et a exprimé l’appréciation de la part du Conseil pour l’opportunité de parrainer ce travail important. La FCAB-CFLA a hâte à continuer son appui pour cette initiative et à partager son progrès et ses accomplissements auprès de la communauté des bibliothèques canadiennes.
